International Association for the Exchange of Student for Technical Experience (IAESTE) with First City Providential College headed the first Phil. IAESTE Day at FCPC as host.
With the theme: “Festival of Cultures: A Conversation Towards Inclusivity and Diversity”, the day’s event was made more colorful by the attendance wearing native costumes of the country.
IAESTE as a student organization aims to harness their full potentials in local and international activities; develop unity among the member enable them to have a better grasp in cultural diversity and its effects on nation building and globalization thus enable the students to embrace borderless friendship and opportunities.
Three IAESTE members who had their internship at FCPC were Ms. Melina Mehlmann of Germany, Mr. Umar Javed of Pakistan and Ms. Le Thu Thuy of Vietnam.
The three interns shared glimpse of the culture language and traditions of their respective countries while they also had a taste of Filipino Cuisine and dances presented by FCPC’s Baliktanaw and Preforming Arts by way of entertainment.
Ms. Cherry May Palario, IAESTE Administrator delivered the opening remarks while Ms. Jeva Jusay and Mr. Samson Milaves Jr. served as panelist in the conversations, questions and answer about IAESTE.
